bathroom progress

The wall work took a lot loner than I thought.

Carter cut holes in the wall to move the outlet where the electricity for the light comes out (to be centered on the vanity instead of centered on the wall). Then he had to patch the holes, sand, prime.

Then I did the painting! we chose to keep the color, I liked it.

painting completed!

Then we pulled up the linoleum and sticky tiles and found this layer of nasty adhesive stuff. Carter spent several hours using several different methods to get it off the floor so we could lay tile
he got nasty and dirty and had to shower every night!

Carter laid the tile with the help of a friend and his wet saw. I was at Handweavers Guild mtg that night, darn I had to miss all the fun! hehe

this is what I came home too
looks good! pre-grout

Carter grouted two nights ago

looks good!

Carter christened the new toilet. (should someone tell him he's doing it the wrong way?)

That looks like a lot of really hard work! The progress looks great, though. I really like the color of the walls, and the new floor. Your new tenants will certainly appreciate all your efforts! :)

P.S. Word verification is "proction." No idea what that means, but in my head, it fits well with this post. I can imagine you saying, "Then we had to proction ALL the pipes!" or, "Our neighbors lent us their proction so we could get rid of all that gunk on the floor." Maybe that was the key all along!
