Looking back at 2011

(a little late, I've been working on this post little by little for the past couple weeks)

Here is a little review of what my 2011 was like. I tried to pick ONE photo from each month, but that was just too hard! So here's what I got instead.

Thanks for being awesome, 2011! Hope 2012 is just as great!

January

some of the Curls came for a visit, and we all went to the Oatmeal Festival!

February

Baby Grey was born! His love for hand-knit hats started on February 8th.

we painted the master bedroom. Emma helped

March 

Carter was afraid of these snakes so he made me pick them up.

April

Sadly, not too many April pics, as my life was consumed with work. Here's my old boss Kevin (from Heil Valley Ranch) on one of my volunteer projects, spreading seeds in a burnt area.
 

But of course I made time to work in the garden, and Dad even came to help me!

Alpaca fleece arrives--Emma says "is that my Mom??"

Bolder Boulder, my fastest time ever! Carter ran with me this time.

June

This is where my food comes from...

....and this is the guy that grow my food!

however I did supplement from my own garden....

July

Camping in the Snowy Range in Wyoming for the 4th of July weekend. It WAS snowy! (and windy!)

Visited Hillsboro....

....and ran my first half-marathon! Carter ran this one with me too.

August

Erica earns the title of the 2nd fastest knitter in all of Colorado!

Kennedy's come to visit--this is one of my favorite photos!!

And hiked two 14-ers! (and drove up one!)

Wow, August was busy. Carter became a godfather to his sister Meredith's son, Nathan.

We spent a few extra days in Indiana with Carter's parents.

We said goodbye to Grandpa Christensen in November.....

.....very bitter, but also a sweet opportunity to see extended family all together and celebrating Grandpa's life!

Yay, I finally got my yarn and roving back from the mill!

December

December started with a very relaxing cabin trip to Eagle, CO, where I got my Christmas Card photo!

First we celebrated the holidays with Broomfield friends.....

.....then Coopers.....

.....then Christensens!
